Gorgatron - The Unwilling (Music Video)

First Single and Music Video off the Agony Reborn Ep Press release: This EP is a product that we can just dub the “Covid Sessions” we were on track to do a bunch of touring etc to support our last album Pathogenic Automation (2020) but clearly and for obvious reasons that didn’t happen… So instead we stayed as busy as we could in 2020 and 2021 played a few shows and hashed out some new tunes, the cover for dead embryonic cells was originally for Metal Injections Slay At Home series but we ended up holding onto it and found a suitable home for it on this ep. Agony Reborn is also the start of a new chapter for the band. Neal has decided to step down from lead guitar and our good friend and shredder Coop Schuh has joined. Thanks for reading and supporting us cheers! Cameron Dewald, Bassist This isn’t news to some, but it’s time to officially announce my departure from Gorgatron. Nothing but respect for the guys, especially Paul and Matt whom I’ve known for the better part of twenty years. If it’s true that Coop Schuh is joining the crew, then I can’t think of a better fit. Dead Embryonic Cells was one of the first fast thrash songs I ever learned, way back in the early 90s. Arise is still one of my favorite records of all time. We started jamming on it in practice and then did it live and it was always a blast. Recorded in the Tron house basement during the year of shit 2020. The Unwilling Started with a few Paul riffs. Added some harmonies and slapped a riff on the end. Ominous. Obvious Morbid Angel influence is obvious. Karl had a unique approach to the last section with the overlapping vocal parts. Agony Reborn Like usual, Paul’s got the riffs. I just added some seasoning. Needed a solo. Wasn’t sure where to go with it. Ended up getting weird. I dig the groove and kick patterns on this one. Both of these songs were written pretty collaboratively with everyone contributing and jamming it out. Glad to have been a part of it. Neal Stein, ex lead guitar I am so psyched to join GORGATRON! I have been a huge fan of them for a long long time, and happy to call these dudes friends too before joining Tron. I’m very grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait for everyone to see what I bring to the table in this already powerhouse of a band, it seems unreal 🙏 Coop Shuh, lead guitar Website Https:// Facebook Instagram
