A Simple Melody

In this lesson, you’ll learn about the concept of playing in position: three fingers that will cover notes on three adjacent frets. We’ll use these three fingers to play a partial A minor scale, and follow up with a simple tune that uses just six notes from this scale. We’ll also spend some more time talking about note values and musical notation. Playing “in position” means that we essentially assign a finger to each fret within a four fret range.
