ENGLISH SUBTITLES: Click on CC to display SUBSCRIBE: --- PRESENTATION --- In this video, Master Aki Kenji, Bamboo specialist & Fukuroshinai Artisan show us the traditional way to wrap a Fukuroshinai. Master Aki Kenji lives in Gifu Prefecture (Japan), born in a family who has grown bamboo plants for several generations. His Fukuroshinai are must-haves in many Yagyu Shinkage Ryu Dojos throughout Japan. It was an honor to welcome him at our office for a Fukuroshinai leather fitting training, as well as a short history of modern Fukuroshinai and a manufacturing lesson. A Fukuroshinai is a piece of bamboo partially cut lengthwise in a decreasing number of slats from the tip, covered with a genuine leather case, allowing more intense training than with a wooden weapon. Better shock absorption also means greater impact resistance. --- PRODUCT IN THIS VIDEO --- Hakuryu & Shuryu Deluxe Yagyu Ryu Fukuroshinai: --- CREDITS --- Director: Jordy Delage Editing & Camera: Jordy Delage & Nicolas Nothum Subtitles: Baptiste Tavernier Music: “Ourai“ by Otowabi () --- SOCIAL NETWORKS --- Facebook: Twitter: Instagram: #Fukuroshinai #AkiKenji #JapaneseCraft
