A love story and a tragedy of epic proportions, Interlude in Prague sees Mozart in a Shakespeare in Love style drama with a Dangerous Liaisons tragic end. Tired of demonstrating his talents to a privileged elite, Mozart is brought to the Bohemian city by Baron Saloka, a vain and self-obsessed aristocrat. On his arrival, Mozart is happy to have found the one place on earth where he feels his talent is appreciated and sets about creating a new opera. However, his unconventional presence soon unleashes a series of dramatic and tragic events set off by a forbidden affair with young soprano Zuzanna. Overwhelmed by the tangled web of lust, violence and intrigue that surrounds him, Mozart finds inspiration to create the astonishing and dramatic piece of music that will become the operatic masterpiece Don Giovanni.
