Taiwan’s Foreign Minister Reveals How China’s War Plans Will Destroy the World Economy

In an exclusive interview with CNN on Tuesday, Wu said that China’s escalating military intimidation and coercion of Taiwan showed that Beijing was “trying to get ready to launch a war against Taiwan.“ He cited the recent Chinese military exercises around Taiwan, which included simulated “joint precision strikes“ by aircraft carrier-based warplanes on the island, as well as the frequent incursions by Chinese warplanes into Taiwan’s self-declared Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ). “These are very serious provocations and we condemn them,“ Wu said. “We also need to prepare for the worst scenario.“ Wu said that Taiwan was not seeking confrontation or independence from China, but rather defending its existing status as a self-governed democracy that enjoys de facto sovereignty over its territory.
