Israeli fighter jets and artillery have carried out a wave of strikes on dozens of Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, the military says. According to the IDF, about 40 targets in Aita al-Shab were hit by air and artillery fire within minutes. The targets were weapons depots and other assets belonging to Hezbollah, the military said. The IDF said the strikes were “part of an effort to destroy the organization’s infrastructure in the border area.” Aita al-Shab is used by Hezbollah for “terrorism” and has dozens of its facilities in the area, the military claims.
