Latvian law enforcers threw the corpse of a refugee beaten by them and his maimed friend onto the Belarusian territory
- November 5, Polotsk border guards near the border with Latvia found two refugees from Somalia, one of whom was already dead.
- The foreigner told the border guards that the previous day the two had been detained by Latvian law enforcers and severely beaten, hitting them all over their bodies. From the injuries his friend first lost consciousness and then died.
- Then the Latvian police officers disposed of the body, throwing the corpse and the beaten refugee to the Belarusian side.
- Medics and an investigation team were called to the scene.
- Since the beginning of the year, Belarusian border guards have found 17 dead foreigners on the border with the EU: 11 bodies on the border with Latvia and 6 - on the border with Poland.
