I’m so happy i got to do this project for my secret santas this year! I’m enjoying how it turned out, i’m really proud of it. This one is from my own group @TheUnknowns. for @hwag_sm!! I hope you like watching this as much as i love editing it!! Merry Christmas, late but still! ABOUT THIS CONCEPT Now, about this concept; i decided to link my secret santas together. This one is the one i started first, and at first i was going to do this whole concept in one video: this one. Though, through editing this video, i keep increasing the length of it but kept only adding Barbie, so i kept going with the sad/confused/wanna-become-human Barbie concept and since i had another secret santa, i decided to check the fandoms of my other SS; turns out the other person also had Barbie and Birds of Prey in their fandoms... that’s was a blast for me and it’s how i decided to extend the concept to 2 parts with 2 videos. CHAPTER I - CONTEXT: Living her life to the fullest in BarbieLand, Stereotypical Barbie has everything she’s ever had. She has the same perfect day, every single day; In her mind, it will never end; actually, she doesn’t even have to think about an ending, until one night, she starts having dark thoughts. The next day, after so many negatives thoughts and events happen to her, she starts questioning everything including her own personal place in the world. While trying to fix all of that, she discovers a new world, that unfortunately doesn’t come alone: feelings, worries, anxiety, sadness... she finds herself questioning whether she wants to be who she is anymore. She starts experiencing deep negative feelings, but at the same time, all of this being new and feeling quite different in a rather positive way for her, she begins to wish becoming human and decides to do so. Ruth warned her: human life is uncomfortable to the point where humans create things to deal with their mental health issues. Barbie thinks she understands, but does she really? What if the switch is too heavy for her simple perfect mind? What if, all these different feelings that appear quite different in a rather positive way for her at first, aren’t really as positive in the long term? Or in the short term? What if this impulsive decision completely disturbs her pure and perfect mind forever, in the worse ways possible? CHAPTER II After becoming human and thrown head first into the real world, Barbie finds herself wandering around with no memory whatsoever, only unhelpful blurry flashbacks about her past life in BarbieLand. Her mind and soul were too pure and perfect for her to just become human without consequences: her mental health deteriorated at breakneck speed, human feelings and emotions being too intense for her.
