“PERSIAN RUG“: CONNIE JONES, BOB HAVENS, DAVID BOEDDINGHAUS, BANU GIBSON (Sept. 19, 2015)
A glorious and mournful memory both: the last time I had the privilege of seeing, hearing, and recording the sainted cornetist Connie Jones, here captured among brilliant friends Bob Havens, trombone; David Boeddinghaus, piano; Banu Gibson, rhythm guitar. This performance took place belowdecks on the steamboat Natchez, at the final Steamboat Stomp based in New Orleans. Rcorded by Michael Steinman for JAZZ LIVES ().
