Former BBC presenter Huw Edward’s given 6 month suspended sentence after being found guilty of having explicit images of children as young as 7-9.
Edward’s, who was the highest paid BBC News anchor, previously admitted 3 charges of making indecent photographs and being found to be in possession of 41 images.
Sentencing Edwards, Chief Magistrate Paul Goldspring told the broadcaster:
’Perhaps it does not need saying but you are of previous good character.’
The judge said he accepts Edwards had been of ’exemplary’ good character ’having enjoyed a very successful career in the media’.
