’Russia is Blessed With Mr. Lavrov, Most Gifted Foreign Statesman’: Politician “Most countries had a Lavrov in the past. It’s why we, or how we, avoided wars without end. It’s how we resolved international tensions in former times. But now it seems only Russia and China have actual diplomats in their foreign ministries,“ George Galloway, British politician, writer, journalist, told Sputnik Africa at the World Youth Festival. Galloway advocated for a return to diplomacy and the Chinese “win-win“ concept, ending the zero-sum approach to international relations. Over 100 countries were represented at the World Youth Festival in Russia, disproving claims of Russian isolation, he said. He argued that the Global South and much of Eurasia are moving in a different direction than a small number of US-aligned nations. “All roads lead to Moscow. Moscow is the new Rome,“ he said.
