Analogy - The Suite 1973 italy - germany, Krautrock, Prog Rock This german band (only including an italian member, bassist Mauro Rattaggi) existed from 1970 to 1974, came to Italy in early 70’s as Yoice (but probably their first name was Eternity), then changed name to Analogy, and their only record releases at the time were issued by an italian small label, Produzioni Ventotto. The band also played some open air festivals, like Rome’s Caracalla Pop Festival in 1972, but were totally unknown outside Italy. Back in 1972 German progressive rock band ANALOGY released its sole classic “Analogy“ and even scored a deal for Italy but soon seemed to have faded into obscurity. Nobody really was aware of a recording named “The suite“ that happened around 1980 and presents the folky side of ANALOGY who seemed at least quite creative for a time when electronic pop took over the whole music scene from disco sounds and poisoned the minds of musicians and fans even more. ANALOGY went into the opposite direction and reached out for musical realms that have been visited by legendary English acts like TREES, FAIRPORT CONVENTION or STEELEYE SPAN a decade or longer ago. Dramatic and powerful rock with a progressive edge meets mystical and magical... Analogy The Suite composed in 1973, recorded in 1980 Track listing 1.
