This was in the yard; a hornet trying to spirit away an inchworm. I wasn’t too bothered as inchworms aren’t great for the garden. At least some of these flyers pollinate! This hornet will paralyze his prey, and if his baggage isn’t too heavy, will climb up to the tallest blade of grass, to obtain lift, and fly off with it. I think this guy’s prey was just too heavy, and not the entire body was paralyzed. The front grabbers were still moving, so the hornet would have to occasionally stop, to give him a few more doses.
