He has often been featured artist at the Chet Atkins Convention in Nashville and was the headlining performer at the Philippine International Jazz Festival. Greatly influenced by the recordings of Chet Atkins, Andres Segovia, Roger Williams and Frank Wess, Ric taught himself at a very early age how to play the guitar, piano and flute. Before beginning formal studies, Ric performed his first guitar concert at the age of 17.
