New Zealand Football Hosts Female Only C License Course

Last week the Female C License Coaching Course took place, bringing together wāhine from across the country. We caught up with some of the participants, who discuss how the course provides a safe space for our female coaches to learn and strengthen their capabilities. Ford Football Fern Annalie Longo says it’s important to have opportunities for female coaches to be appropriately supported. “By having a female-only course in what is traditionally a male-dominated space, we’re enabling participants who might not be comfortable in a course that’s mostly male. To enable applicants from as wide a range of backgrounds as possible, New Zealand Football supported course fees, travel, and accommodation costs. Our priority is removing as many barriers to entry as possible.”
