Ukrainian army report gains against Russian troops around Bakhmut

Ukraine says it is making gains in the offensive against Russian forces to recapture Bakhmut. The city in eastern Ukraine has been at the heart of fierce fighting for months. Ukraine’s armed forces released a video showing what it said were soldiers storming Russian positions. The general staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has said in its evening report that Russian forces made unsuccessful attempts to advance in the Lyman sector, as artillery shelling killed at least eight civilians and wounded 13 in the eastern town.
