Testing Artillery Guns (1914-1918)

Testing Artillery Guns. Location of events unknown. Tests of moving artillery over rough ground. Pulling gun carriage over a strip of ground between road and railroad track; with holes in ground - like concrete boxes or troughs set into ground. As the artillery guns cross; the wheels fall into these big rectangular holes; and the carriage is stuck for a moment but is pulled forward; by ropes from each side. All sorts of angles of this same thing - front of gun approaching; side CU as it goes by; back CU; then moving away. Soldiers in the road watch the test. Transportation; weapons. World War One.
