Title reads: “Show People“. Daily Mail Film Awards Ceremony at Dorchester Hotel, London. Lady Rothermere presents award to actor and film star James Mason. M/S of Mason, holding his bulky golden award, giving acceptance speech. He thanks the Daily Mail readers, then quips “you can see this isn’t a thing to carry off lightly!“. Lady Rothermere then presents award to actress Margaret Lockwood. Dressed in extravagant white fur coat, Lockwood gives emotional speech; “tonight is the proudest moment of my film career“. Location of events unknown. Famous theatrical Club - the Grand Order of Water Rats - holds its annual gathering. Members are male performers, they all wear special sashes. They include Bud Flanagan, Wee Georgie Wood and Will Hay. Comedian Bud Flanagan speaks to brother water rats, they have just unveiled plaque to mark 57th anniversary of society.
