Fast fashion giant Shein is rumored to have made steps to list the company on the London Stock Exchange. It’s the latest move for an industry that has been growing wildly in recent decades, but so has textile waste as people are buying more and more, and yet wearing items for less and less time. Where does this clothing end up when it’s no longer wanted? We visit a clothing graveyard in Chile, home to the remnants of the US and European fashion industries. We also explore the possible solutions that are hoping to chip away at this growing mountain of “Ropa Americana.“
