F-35 Fighter Jets Will Soon Carry New Hypersonic Missiles

The Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II is a single-seat, single-engine, all-weather stealth multirole combat aircraft. It is designed to perform air superiority and strike missions, as well as provide electronic warfare and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities. The F-35 Lightning II is a stealth fighter jet that can carry a weapons payload of 15,000–18,000 pounds. The F-35A variant has a 25 mm cannon with 182 rounds of ammunition, while the F-35B and F-35C have a cannon with 220 rounds of ammunition.
