Unreal Engine 5.1 - How To Make a Feature Film - Part 3 “Retarget Mocap to Metahumans“
In this free tutorial we go over everything you need to know about retargeting body and face animation on Metahumans in Unreal Engine, including:
1) Launching Unreal from Epic Games account;
2) Requesting Metahuman Creator and using it to make unique characters;
3) Adjust LOD settings in Metahuman blueprint to stop hair disappearing;
4) Installing Plugins for Take Recorder, Live Link and Faceware;
5) Using Faceware studio to record facial animation with Take Recorder;
6) Importing .fbx body animation and retargeting it with IK rigs to Metahumans;
7) Importing audio tracks and syncing body & face animation in Sequencer.
