Cartier’s Panthere Bangle | Two Panthers Centring a Cabochon Sapphire

Well loved by famous patrons such as the Duchess of Windsor and Daisy Fellows, the panther collection has been wildly popular ever since its debut in the early 20th century at Cartier. The first double panther-head hinged bangle was originally commissioned by Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan in the 1950s, adorned with diamonds, sapphires and emeralds. Later Maria Felix also commissioned a bracelet with two overlapping panthers in the 1960s - and the style has been one of the most sought after in the panther collection. This bangle depicts two panthers with their whole body in full detail, centring a cabochon sapphire.
