Macrame Tutorial No 34 | Chainlink Pattern | HOW TO MACRAME by Knot Serious Studio
This macrame tutorial video features a pattern of interlinked, airy hexagons that makes for a creative mesh or background layer for wall hangings. Made entirely of double half hitch knots, the weaving of the working cords in the center of the hexagons adds subtle interest to the pattern. The pattern works up in multiples of eight cords (4 lark’s head knots per pattern repetition).
Knots to know: double half hitch
Cord: This isn’t a very dense pattern so it doesn’t use up too much cord. I used 3 mm, 3-ply cord. Start with cords that measure at least 10-12’ (3.5 to 4.5 m) then doubled over with lark’s head knots.
