HAVASI — The Christ Trilogy 2013 (Official Video)

The ’Brush & Piano’ part is an extraordinary encounter of fine arts and music at the HAVASI Symphonic shows. A wonderful musical and visual treat in which HAVASI performs his original compositions inspired by and reflecting the beautiful and powerful paintings of the great Hungarian artist Mihály Munkácsy. The paintings are projected on to a special 300 square metre needle sharp backstage screen within a picture frame behind the assembled musicians. The Christ Trilogy Mihály Munkácsy undoubtedly reached the pinnacle of his career with The Christ Trilogy, even though the three paintings were only exhibited for the first time together almost 100 years after his death. Despite the religious nature of Munkácsy’s Christ paintings, it would be difficult to imagine them as altarpieces, and instead they should be considered as socio-cultural genre compositions. The public was mesmerized by the enormous size, the hype surrounding their exhibition and the nature of the biblical events depicted. ---- Facebook: Website: --- The Christ Trilogy performed live at the HAVASI Symphonic Arena Show on the 21st of December, 2013. --- Composed by: HAVASI Performed with the Dohnányi Orchestra Budafok Producer and Creative Director: Csaba Marjai Arranger and Conductor: Peter Pejtsik Editor and Film Director: Laszlo Krisko Director of Photography: Zoltan Csincsi Sound Engineer: Gabor Juhos Costume Designer: Tamas Naray Music Production Director: Miklos Lukacs
