As a teenager their was a trilogy of artists I listened to regularly; Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, but most of all Jimi Hendrix. Jimi Hendrix infused me with a love for music. A friend of my youngest sister was be dispatched to Vietnam so he gave his albums to her but she and no one else were interested in any of the music. In the collection was almost anything released (official and unofficial). There was no Cry of Love or War Heroes but most everything else. When a neighbor visited she put on Foxy Lady and I fell in love with Hendrix’s guitar. Back in the day, we called it acid rock, although I don’t see the term these days. Jimi could jam like no one else. He took Blues Rock to a whole new level distortion, wah wah and whammy bar application in innovative ways and when Hendrix played live he put his music into
