8th Annual Rally for Rocker Backcountry Banked Slalom

The 8th annual Rally For Rocker backcountry banked slalom went down on a gorgeous bluebird day in May 2023. Every spring the Tahoe snowboard community comes together to carve out this hand built slalom course on Donner Summit that you have to hike to ride. Race day is a come one, come all community event that sees over 500 riders of all ages rip the course. The event is a memorial for Steve “Rocker“ Anderson, a fallen local shredder who was working to build a new skate park in Truckee. All proceeds from the event go towards funding Rocker’s dream skate park.
