A video claiming to show Serbian volunteers training to fight alongside Russian troops in Ukraine has sparked outrage in Serbia. Russia’s RIA news agency published footage apparently showing two Serbian citizens participating in a weapons training course in Ukraine. The Wagner group is also said to have placed a number of advertisements in Serbian media asking locals to fight in Serbian-language ads featured Wagner chief and Putin’s ally Yevgeny Prigozhin, calling volunteers to join its ranks. The controversial ads have also appeared in the Russian state media outlet RT’s Serbian affiliate.
