Israel ’kills most senior Hezbollah commander since war began’

Lebanon-based Hezbollah terrorist group launched a barrage of 160 rockets at northern Israel on Wednesday morning after one of its senior commanders was killed in an airstrike. The barrage, one of the largest in an escalating conflict on Israel’s border with Lebanon since the October 7 Hamas attacks, saw the city of Tiberias targeted for the first time. It was largely intercepted by Israel’s sophisticated air defence system. No injuries have been reported so far as sirens wailed across Mount Meron and the Upper Galilee, urging citizens to seek cover. However, several new blazes were reported in an area that has already been ravaged by widespread bushfires sparked by rockets. #hezbollah #israel #idf
