Scroll Saw Woodworking with Naturally BLUE WOOD?!

I’ve always wanted to make a picture of Spider-Man out of wood. But I also knew that this was going to be the most challenging scroll saw art project I would make. I started by making a custom picture frame. I didn’t want to spend so much time scroll sawing and then put the workpiece in a regular picture frame. My picture frame has multiple layers stacked upon themselves. I made it from walnut and then added some blue mahoe inlay. I then placed another piece of walnut on top, which gave the picture a really cool geometric look. The Spider-Man picture came from a piece of artwork in a Spider-Man comic. I loved the picture and saved it just for this project. No paint or stain was used in this scroll saw project. All of the colors are natural. I used bloodwood and blue mahoe for his suit. The background is birdseye maple. The negative space is wenge. The buildings and Spider-Man’s webbing is holly. •• About NewtonMakes•• I’m Billy and I make fun things. Some
