Naude is wrong - the seal is not naughty. He is simply curious and playful, two characteristics that have enabled seals to adapt to their environment all over the world. Plastic pollution should not be part of this equation. Ocean rubbish is taking away more and more natural habitat with dreadful consequences for animals and human beings. Even organic, supposedly biodegradable materials like this cotton collar from a t-shirt have the potential to kill a seal or any other marine animal.
