Below is the text I wrote when I posted this video for the first time on Facebook, back in 2018: I miss the days when all we wanted to do while dancing was to bring a smile to our partner’s face. Sometimes it feels as if dancing has become such a serious business that we forget what really matters: the person in front of us. Sometimes we get so concerned with technique that we forget to see our partner as someone who needs nothing more then care and attention. Connection is actually pretty simple to achieve. We just have to open our eyes and see - I mean really see - that we don’t partner dance alone. There is a person sharing the space inside our arms. So, why not make the best of it? Why not forget about us and just think about the other person in front of you? Why not forget who we are and find ourselves again in the person we are dancing with? Why not say good bye to our egos and hello to the idea of not wanting anything, not expecting anything? I tried all those things and discovered
