Lynn Williams Puncuates First Cap with First Goal

Just 49 seconds after the whistle began the second half, Lynn Williams took advantage of some poor passing by the Switzerland defense, ran onto the loose ball and roared into the penalty box before calmly drawing out the goalkeeper and slotting her shot into the lower left corner. The goal was not only the first international score for Williams, but also the fastest goal in a debut in U.S. history.
