Edit Bill Vonnegut An interesting day on the Pacific Coast. We had been on the water for quite some time working our way down the coast in mild conditions. A large swell was forecast for late that night and we planned to be back well before then. We paddled into a bay and were watching a break from the outside when the Half Moon Bay Buoy reading jumped from 5@12 to 5@21sec. The unusually large jump in the period created a huge wave that rose out of the bay where we were on the outside. And that was only the beginning. They kept coming. Find us on Facebook:
