Cathy Jean and The Roomates - Please Love Me Forever (1960)

Charted at #12 on Billboard Hot 100 in March 1961. The single was released in October 1960 and became the only Billboard charting single for Cathy Jean. The Roomates had one other, a remake of “Band of Gold“ which charted at #49 also in 1961. “Please Love Me Forever“ originally charted at #61 on the Hot 100 in 1958 for Tommy Edwards. A later remake charted at #6 Hot 100 for Bobby Vinton in 1967 (#39 Adult Contemporary). Written by Johnny Malone & Ollie Blanchard. B-side is “Canadian Sunset“ by Cathy Jean with Charley Macey on guitar.
