This hour long compilation of 8K HDR sunset time-lapses has been set to a resolution optimized for playback on 5120x2160 ultrawide monitors, the so-called 5K-2K screens. The aspect ratio is actually 64:27 (4:3 cubed ) or , but commonly referred to as 21:9. The original footage was captured in 8256x5504 resolution in 14bit color, and uploaded to YT in 8K HDR (PQ) 12-bit. The optimal way to view this video on a 21:9 monitor (that has a horizontal resolution greater than 3840) is with the 8K HDR stream. This means you will need to be using the Chrome or Edge browser, and your hardware will need to able to decode an AV1 video stream efficiently.
