The incident unfolded on Thursday - a day after Texas Gov. Greg Abbott ended statewide orders requiring people to wear face masks in public places. He declared that businesses should decide for themselves what COVID-19 precautions to take in their properties and many have kept their own mask rules in place. In the Galveston incident, the woman complained to the cop that masks are no longer required in public - only for the officer to remind her that businesses are entitled to enforce their own mask rules.
