Tony Anderson - Fields of Green

Fields of Green is my next single from the new album. I’ve started to write lyrics and record my own voice from time to time and Fields of Green is the first piece I’ve worked on that I felt needed words rather than instruments to say what I wanted to say. The photo I paired with the music is of the farm I grew up on in rural Nebraska in the 1990s. Our home is just behind the trees on the left side of the frame. Much of the album flows from returning to the beautiful years I had on that land before life got complicated. The recordings of birds that come in halfway through were recorded standing in that very driveway overlooking the Logan Valley just after a thunderstorm last June. It was heaven. I never knew what was calling me back out to Nebraska a handful of years ago when I started writing this collection of songs, but I’m glad I listened... There’s also an instrumental version of Fields of Green available on all streaming services today as well as an ambient interpretation of Fields of Green called Meadowlark. I’ll have new music releasing each month this year. I hope you enjoy Fields of Green for the time being...
