Fly Tying - Viva Nymph “variant“

my take on this nice pattern, easily in top 5 for grayling. i fish in peat colored waters mats used: hook: MC-100 #12 (for shallow waters generally. the fly first rides close to surface cause light then as it soaks up water it becomes heavy and drops deeper going through the whole water column slowly! though any hook works, really) thread: sheer 14/0 black tail: sculpting fibre olive. (they use usually fluoro green colour for viva but its a bit too much for me) rib: dbw stainless wire silver body: antron dubbing “wing case“: i think i used mallard underwing feather, 1 goose biot would work fine as well varnish: varnish camera was on auto white balance so it jumps here and there a bit. musics: lobo loco - place on my bonfire, lobo loco - arround the lake
