DIY 18" Maple Burl & Epoxy Resin Clock Using Big Round Silicone Mold & Router Template

Shop Our Molds & Templates @ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In this video, Daniel Weir from Maker Dan Builds () uses the Crafted Elements 18“ diameter, 2“ deep thick silicone mold as well as our 18“ clock router template to create a multi-layer burl and epoxy resin clock. Dan starts out by shaping his piece of maple burl to fit the mold exactly using the Crafted Elements 18“ clock acrylic router template. He then sprays his non-silicone based mold release, sets the wood in place and pours a layer of black epoxy resin. After that layer is set, he finishes off the pour with clear resin so you can see the edge of the burl in the final finished piece. He flattens the piece with the help of his drum sander and uses the same 18“ acrylic router template to inlay the hour markers in the clock. After backfilling those with resin, and then run
