But when I came here I realized that in fact I don’t know anything. Most importantly, many people who moved to other countries told me: “Mila, understand, the first 2 years will be a period of adaptation.” I thought that I am a sociable person, I will quickly join this life. No! And having actually lived here for more than a year, I can say that I may need this period of 2 years to immerse myself in this country at least a little. There is a huge difference between the fact that you come somewhere on vacation. We arrived for a week in a beautiful hotel, everyone smiles at you, everyone is happy to see you. Everything is great. You leave delighted. I was in such a country! Everything is great there, I dream of living there. And it makes a big difference when you move to a country and face everyday life. Also, as a rule, there is a language barrier. And then you start to be surprised that they live differently, they are used to it. For them, this is the norm, this is their life.
