The Folies Bergere Revue On Sleeve As Review (1930)

Full title reads: “The Show of Shows! Coming next week! The Folies Bergere Revue. Direct from the Folies Bergere, Paris and Victoria Palace London.“ The Lawrence Tiller girls and Marika Rokk are featured in a scene called “What the flowers say.“ It is a tableaux scene featuring large paper flowers. The girls step down from the scene, link arms to form a chorus line and dance on their points. They perform some balletic high kicks. Marika Rokk performs a solo dance. this is followed by a strange sketch involving a dwarf (or midget) looking at a saucy magazine “Vie Parisienne“. He is dressed as a young boy. A man takes the magazine from him and they look at it together and laugh. They hit each other they are finding it so funny. A woman then comes into the “kitchen“ where they are sitting and wants to know what they are laughing at. They try to hide the magazine. They keep passing it to each other so that the woman can’t grab it. The man passes it through his legs thinking the boy is behi
