Murcof – Fight

Dive into the universe of Murcof’s latest single, ’Fight,’ from his upcoming album Twin Color, in collaboration with french institute IRCAM. Born from a drone sound he created while working on a sci-fi exploration game soundtrack in 2019, the track ’Fight’ evolves into a richly textured soundscape. Alina, his daughter, lends her voice to the song, entwining with the metallic drone that anchors the song, giving it an emotion-filled resonance. The tiny team behind the video, consisting of Simon Geilfus and Robert Hodgin, relied heavily on designing procedural systems to help create a vast, rich and complex world. A combination of custom C plugins, Houdini digital assets and native Unreal Engine tools combine highly art-directable randomness and physics simulations to help hand-crafting each scene with believable environments and alien weirdness. The resulting images are then processed to give the final result a more analog feel.
