Chanda Mama | 10th Anniversary Song Around The World | Playing For Change

It’s hard to believe it’s been over 10 years since we first released “Stand By Me,“ “One Love,“ “War / No More Trouble,“ “Don’t Worry,“ and “Chanda Mama“ around the world. In celebration of this 10 year anniversary of our first album, Songs Around The World, we’d like to share this new re-mixed and re-mastered version of “Chanda Mama“ featuring some new musicians and a new generation from India. Every song tells a story of our shared humanity and that no matter who we are or where we come from, we are all united with MUSIC. Turn it up and share the love with everyone you meet! The primary focus of PFC is to record and film musicians performing in their natural environments and combine their talents and cultural power in innovative videos called Songs Around The World. Creating these videos motivated PFC to form the Playing For Change Band—a tangible, traveling representation of its mission, featuring musicians met along their journey; and establish the Playing For Change Foundation—a separate 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting music programs for children around the world. Through these efforts, Playing For Change aims to create hope and inspiration for the future of our planet. To learn more about the work of the PFC Foundation, visit
