THE JIMI HENDRIX STORY - EPISODE 19 PT 1 FEB 1968 - AS YOU’VE NEVER HEARD IT BEFORE
In February 1968 the Experience went back to the States for their first proper tour, although like the first visit, the tour grew as it went on, dates being added all the time, until the band were essentially living on the road in America.
The Experience were joined by the Soft Machine and later by The Eire Apparent, both managed by the Experience’s co-manager, the ubiquitous Mike Jeffery.
It was a long and gruelling tour, doing 60 cities in 66 days, but if it did nothing else it established the Experience as one of the leading rock acts of the day.
