I am singing in the hot evening sunshine in the Spanish mountains of the Jalon Valley with my neighbours villa in the back ground. As Tears Go By is the first song written together by Rolling Stones, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. They recorded it for their first album ‘Rolling Stones’ - which went to the No.1 spot in the UK Albums Chart in 1964. It was Mick Jaggers girl friend at the time, Marianne Faithfull, who took her recording of this song to the No. 9 spot in the UK singles chart in 1964.
