This scene was taken from Elementary, the hit series on the CBS network about Sherlock Holmes set in modern day New York City. Footage shown is the ending of episode 3, season 2 where Sherlock is reading Moriarty’s letter by the fire side. Complex relationships form between Sherlock and his relationship with Moriarty. Watson leaves Sherlock for the night as he deeply reads Moriarty’s latest letter. This scene is stylistically shot and both monologue and dialogue are carefully placed throughout transition to show not only the emphasis on Sherlock’s relationship with Moriarty, but also the compassion that resonates from Watson to Sherlock.
