Songo Groove #1 on Drums from Changuito

The Songo rhythm was invented by legendary Cuban percussionist Changuito (José Luis Quintana) while playing in the band “Los Van Van“ in the early 70s. The rhythm of songo brought a funky feel to Cuban music in accordance with the trends of the time.
