Tomorrow Is A Long Time : Sandy Denny

Here from Sandy Denny’s 2nd album ’Sandy’, recorded 1972 and produced by her future husband Trevor Lucas, is the Bob Dylan penned ’Tomorrow Is A Long Time’. Sandy’s beautiful voice is further enhanced by the inimitable Sneaky Pete Kleinow on pedal steel guitar. Other guest musicians on the album include Richard Thompson and Dave Swarbrick of Fairport Convention. In the 60’s many people did cover versions of Dylan’s songs as well as their own music, Fairport & Sandy being good examples of this modern tradition. ’I’ll Keep It With Mine’ from ’What We Did On Our Holidays’, ’Si Tu Dois Partir’, ’Percy’s Song’ & ’Million Dollar Bash’ from ’Unhalfbricking’, all written by Dylan. His wonderful songs are timeless, though it sure feels like ’tomorrow IS a long time’. May his song always be sung...
