This time lapse animation shows the Sun during the 2018 in 8K resolution. It is composed from 31,483 images taken by the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO). This time lapse video captures one frame every 15 min. Raw images taken in the ultraviolet (171nm) wavelength, which is impossible to see from earth due to atmosphere.
