♟️ The pairings of the #FIDECandidates and the FIDE Women’s Candidates have been announced! ♟️ The countdown to the FIDE Candidates 2024 began in Toronto, Canada, with the drawing of lots. It was held in the famous Torontian chess pub’ Madison Avenue’ by Chief Arbiter Aris Marghetis, assisted by the key members of the local Organizing Committee for the FIDE Candidates, WGM Anna Burtasova, Salim Belcadi and GM Evgeny Bareev, in the presence of over a hundred chess fans.
